Chiang Mai Elephants Home — A Sanctuary of Care and Respect

At Chiang Mai Elephants Home, we are proud to operate an ethical and sustainable eco-tourism project located in a peaceful village surrounded by mountains, just a short distance from a national park in the heart of Northern Thailand. Our mission began with a simple yet powerful vision: to create a safe and loving sanctuary where elephants can live free from exploitation, hard labour, and harsh living conditions such as those found in circuses and traditional riding camps.

We believe that every elephant deserves kindness, dignity, and respect. Our goal is to rescue elephants from lives of hardship and provide them with a natural environment where they can roam freely, socialise, and behave naturally. We do not offer elephant riding, nor do we train our elephants to perform tricks or dance. Instead, we dedicate ourselves to sharing our knowledge, experience, and deep love for these magnificent creatures with visitors from around the world. We invite you to learn about elephant behaviour, health, and conservation — not as spectators, but as compassionate friends.
